Ghoulslobberer returns to Devils
DUNHARROW - All-star shortstop Mugor Ghoulslobberer is headed back to Dunharrow after a trade with Minas Morgul. Ghoulslobberer, 32, was the Devils' 3rd pick in 2003 and spent 5 seasons there before being signed as a free agent by the Slayers in 2007. While he has lost some power, he is hitting .303 this season, and his career average of .306 places him among the all-time leaders.
In exchange for Ghoulslobberer, the Devils sent their closer, Hildibrand Bridger, and reliever Fosco Sandybanks to Minas Morgul. Bridger, 28, has been with Dunharrow since the beginning, being used primarily in middle relief. However, this year, after signing a $4 million contract extension, she has been utilized as the closer and has a 1.79 ERA, a 4-3 record with 6 saves. Sandybanks, 23, was Mirkwood's 3rd round draft choice in 2004. He has spent his career in the Marauders' minor leagues, being traded to Dunharrow this past off-season. He has seen only 3 major league games.
