Beardcutter traded to Slayers

DUNHARROW - For the second time in less than a month, Fabur Beardcutter has been traded. This time, the Devils are sending the All-Star pitcher to Minas Morgul in exchange for 3 minor leaguers and a journeyman relief pitcher. On June 20, he was acquired by Dunharrow in a trade with Bucklebury. Beardcutter, 29, is one of the best pitchers in the league, and carries a $23 million annual salary with him. He is 8-6 this season with a 2.87 ERA and 141 strikeouts.

Minas Morgul, who are pressing for a playoff spot, gave up some promising young talent to get Beardcutter. Pitcher Ufrat Deathskull, 25, was picked by the Slayers in last year's Rule V draft. Rulina Veslay, 24, is a 5-star pitching prospect. First baseman Neal Friesen, 25, is destined to be a slugging star. The one veteran, pitcher Floralia Eäràlad, has been around the block, starting with Dunharrow in 2003 and playing for Bucklebury, Dead Marshes and Minas Morgul.
