Worm and Goldfist win Player of the Week award
Minas Tirith's pitcher Christof Worm had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Player of the Week. Worm was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 1.65. Along the way he struck out 13 in 16.1 innings. He hurled a shutout as well. This season Worm compiled an ERA of 5.66, going 9-14 in 28 starts. He fanned 141 while giving up 194 hits in 179.2 innings. He has 3 complete games and one shutout. The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Hoisil Goldfist, Weathertop's starting centerfielder. In 29 at bats he hit .517 with 3 HR and 9 RBI.
