Kim Emeraldnose blanks Minas Tirith with a 1-hitter

MINAS TIRITH - Kim Emeraldnose took the mound and never left. And Minas Tirith hitters couldn't touch her at all. Lake Town's left-hander gave up just one hit in her 2nd shutout of the season on September 9. She now has 2 career shutouts in 23 games started. 'Today I just felt fine. I had a good feeling while warming up.' Emeraldnose (7-7) struck out 8 and issued 1 BB, throwing 69 of 93 pitches for strikes. Lake Town's second baseman Haran Goblinkiller stroked 3 hits in 5 AB, stroking a double, with 4 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Emeraldnose. Lake Town improved its record to 90-52, scoring 11 runs on 14 hits.
