Old Forest wins Fellowship Series

OLD FOREST - The Old Forest Merry Fellows are going to the Shire Conference championships for the first time in their history. They defeated the Lake Town Archers, 6-5, in 12 innings in Game 5 of their series to advance to the Two Towers Series. In Game 1, Frodo Chubb pitched a complete game, allowing 10 hits but only 2 runs, as the Merry Fellows won, 6-2. Game 2 was a tight affair, with Old Forest winning in the top of the 9th on a Rognash Kidneyslammer 2-run HR. In Game 3, Old Forest bats exploded in the 8th inning, as the Merry Fellows scored 7 runs to win it 12-2. Lake Town got a little revenge in Game 5, scoring 9 runs in the 7th to win 14-2. Finally, Old Forest put the Archers away in Game 6 with a bases-loaded grounder by Relin Rockmaster scoring Siloja Glebrildur with the winning run in the 12th inning.
