Numenor Wins Mordor Championship
NUMENOR - For the 2nd year in a row, the defending league champion, Numenor Kings, were crowned the kings of Mordor when they defeated the Misty Mountain Hops in 5 games. Game 1 was another gem tossed by perennial Gandalf Pitcher, Prilak Hammershaker, as the Kings won 5-0. Misil Orebearer outlasted Celomli Denaidur in Game 2 to give the Kings a 2-game series lead. In Game 3, Numenor came up with 3 runs in the 7th to win it, 5-2. Facing elimination, the Hops rallied with 2 outs in the 9th, as Bagwurz Bloodaxe hit a 2-run HR to win the game, 5-4. Finally, Numenor sealed the victory with a 10-2 win in Game 5.
