Gwaihir Reliever Awards announced

MIDDLE EARTH - The winners of the 2009 Gwaihir Reliever Awards, given to the best relievers in each Conference, were announced today. The Shire Conference winner is Amon Thoirney of Bywater. He had a record of 8-3 with an ERA of 1.99 and 31 saves. In 59 games, he pitched 63.1 innings, fanning 58 and walking 22 batters. In the Mordor Conference, the winner was Misty Mountain's Vamsh "The Hatchet" Ratchewer. He had a record of 8-3 with an ERA of 2.34 and 37 saves. In 65 games, he pitched 69.1 innings, fanning 82 and walking 27 batters.
