Dead Marshes press conference
DEAD MARSHES - Today, Dead Marshes management held a press conference at Uruk-Hai Field to discuss the future of the club and reflect on the season. The following are excerpts as recorded by the local media:
Loki:
Well, I think we were disappointed by this season, but things were looking up at the end. We made a lot of progress with our younger guys, but we never really got out of that hole we were in early
Loki:
I stepped down as manager? What?
*whispers among Loki and coaches, management*
Well, I'm the manager now. No story there.
Grishnakh, Pres. of Baseball Operations:
We're definitely very sorry about what happened to those players at Lake Town. We're glad non of our guys were there though. Never does well to associate with your enemy like that.
Loki:
Oh, we're always looking to improve. We probably had the two best relief pitchers in the league this year, but our bullpen isn't as deep as we'd like it to be. Two guys won't be able to carry the whole load for a team. And whoever is voting for the Gwaihir must be out of their damn minds. You can quote me on that, in fact you'd better.
Grishnakh:
We don't have any trades in the works right now, but we've put out feelers to some teams who we may be able to work out deals with. I think everyone wants to wait and see how the draft plays out, where free agents end up, before they make any big moves
Grishnakh:
I think we will have a very effective strategy for luring free agents this year. First and foremost is money. If that doesnt work, then I throw an axe and jsut barely miss them, but they'll know I only missed on purpose. Let's see who's mister tough guy now! No, I don't think there's any rule against that, why?
Loki:
Congratulations to Mauhur the Looter, he's had another great season and finally got recognized defensively. It's great to see an Orc doing well in this league, it jsut seems contaminated with Elves sometimes. Heck, our two best relievers are from some elven land I've never even heard of, much less looted. Portorico? Was that it?
Loki:
