Cheese Return to Bree
BREE - Unveiling a new logo, Barliman J. Butterburr and company announced the return of the Bree Cheese to their original home, ending the season of the Balrogs. Before the start of the 2009 season, Mort "Sonny" Sauronson took over the team, razed the Butterburr Cheese Factory, renamed the team the Gorgoroth Balrogs, and opened a reign of terror that included trading the original Cheese player, Ralin Rockbinder, to Carrock.
"Now, that was gonna happen anyway," said Butterburr, who was inexplicably retained as the Balrogs' managar. "Rockbinder wasn't hitting. He wasn't earning his keep. But I take your point about it being a bit of a shocker. And there weren't no reason to tear down the Cheese factory."
Rumors are swirling about the move and about Sauronson's fate. Some say his father never knew about his foray into the frivolous game and turned him to ashes. Some think he just got bored. In any case, the Butterburr family is remaining tight-lipped about the whole thing, apparently just happy to be back in control of the Cheese.
