2009 Aragorn MVP Winners
MIDDLE EARTH - The winners of the 2009 Aragorn Most Valuable Player awards for the Shire and Mordor Conferences have been determined by ballot of the owners. In the Shire, the overwhelming winner for the 3rd year in a row is Loopy Squishmasher of Rivendell. Loopy was the Sam Gamgee Batter winner, hitting .341 with 34 HR and 110 RBI. He led the league in on-base percentage (.429) and slugging (.599), too. Other players who received 1st place votes were Gollauman Gandihil of Old Forest, Gwelf Goriborn of Mirkwood, and Lake Town's Silas Debuugger.
The Mordor Conference MVP is Grey Haven's Golligast Gandulbo. Gandulbo finished with a .314 batting average and led the league in homeruns with 51, RBI (133), slugging (.623) and runs scored (130). He narrowly beat last season's MVP and 2009 Sam Gamgee Batter winner, Isilborn Imrilron. Gandulbo received just one more 1st place vote than Imrilron. Others receiving 1st place votes were Numenor's Disil Axesmith (who set a new league batting average record at .369), and Grukak Dwarfcrawler of Grey Havens.
