Rockbinder traded to Lake Town

CARROCK - With team finances in a shambles, the Bears were looking for a white knight to give them a chance at rebuilding the team. The knight came in the form of the Lake Town Archers, who agreed to a deal that included two top minor league pitchers, $10 million in cash, and taking the two most expensive players off the Carrock payroll. Carrock gives up star outfielder, Ralin Rockbinder, whom they acquired from Gorgoroth at the start of last season, but with the team in a cash crunch, they couldn't afford his $13.7 million annual salary. Rockbinder only hit .235 last season, but he belted 33 HR, drove in 102, scored 112 and stole 61 bases.

In the deal, Lake Town gets Rockbinder and agrees to take the aging Tigor Noseprodder in spite of his $15.5 million contract. They send Carrock minor league pitchers Bordul Celomir and Guy Epperson and $10 million. Celomir, 23, was picked up by Lake Town last August and has only 2 AA games under his belt. Epperson, 24, was actually Carrock's 1st pick in 2005. He appeared in 17 games last season and had a 1.26 ERA.
