Boraulf Released
RIVENDELL - Age catches up to everyone. Even for a superstar like Boreathor Boraulf. Boraulf, 36, who won 4 stright Gandalf Pitcher awards from 2005-2008, was released by the Royals in the face of his rapidly deteriorating skills. He is the greatest pitcher the Shire Conference has had, so far, and may be the greatest in league history.
Boraulf was the 1st pick for Rivendell in 2003. From 2005-2008, he won the Gandalf and was named to the All-Star team every year, winning 91 games and only losing 32. His overall record was 135-72 with a 3.05 ERA and 1,672 strikeouts.
The speculation is that Boraulf will get picked up by some team for at least one game before the season ends, as he must pitch once in 2010 to qualify for the Hall of Fame.
