Huge blow for Misty Mountain's *Stinkblossom, career over
MISTY MOUNTAIN - It was one of baseball saddest days. Misty Mountain's left-hander Tanta *Stinkblossom fell victim to a career ending injury in a game against Dead Marshes on April 28. She complained about pain after throwing a pitch to Wayne Phillips, then suddenly collapsed. Misty Mountain wasted no time and rushed her to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that *Stinkblossom had suffered a Torn Bicep Muscle. Opposing players hit .278 against Tanta this season. While posting an ERA of 4.76 she went 1-0 in 6 starts, fanning 37 and walking 8 hitters. Her career featured a record of 69-47 with an ERA of 3.34. She was the 2009 Gandalf Pitcher award winner. Baseball will certainly miss this great player.
