Mirkwood's Ballscarer wins Player of the Week award

Mirkwood's catcher Curt Ballscarer had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Player of the Week. In 27 at bats he hit .519 with 1 HR and 7 RBI. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 13 game hitting streak right now. The Player of the Week award in the Mordor Conference goes to Minas Morgul's Isilborn Imrilron this time, as the leftfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Isilborn pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .462 with 4 HR and 8 RBI while slugging .962. While compiling an on base percentage of .410, Isilborn hit .331 and slugged .698. He has collected 46 runs batted in this year. He's 10th in the Mordor Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI!
