Bucklebury's Peatfingers wins Player of the Week award

Bucklebury's leftfielder Samwise Peatfingers had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Player of the Week. He hit .556 with 10 RBI and slugged 1.222 in 18 at bats. Fruron Elvand wins his 6th Player of the Week award. Mordor Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. Fruron was on fire, hitting .500 with 5 HR and 8 RBI. He now has homered in 4 consecutive games as well! Elvand has walked 13 times this year and posts a .391 OBP. While batting .333, 56 for 168, he has driven in 33 runs.
