Lothlorien-Bree swap pitchers

LOTHLORIEN - The saga of journeyman pitcher, Freodriel Elrymbor, has seen him off to Bree. The Lumberjacks traded the veteran player to the Cheese in exchange for 25-year-old reliever, Gamailbo "Mailman" Elvyr. Elrymbor, 31, was Gondor's 5th choice in the initial draft in 2003. Since then, he has been both a very good starter and one of the losingest pitchers of all time. In spite of his career ERA of 3.95 and 1162 strikeouts, Freodriel has consistently been among the league leaders in losses. Last season, he posted 18 to just 6 wins. However, he has always posted exceptional strikeout-to-walk ratio and WHIP numbers. He was selected to the 2007 All-Star Game and won a Legolas in 2008. But Lothlorien management, after trying him out as a reliever this season, decided that they were through with him. He will now try his luck with Bree.

Elvyr, on the other hand, has not fared well out of the bullpen. His career ERA is 6.42, and he has only appeared in 28 games in 3 seasons. He spent most of his career in the Cheese minors as a starter, and that may be the role in which the Lumberjacks use him.
