Chubb and Elfdrinker win Player of the Week award

Old Forest's pitcher Frodo Chubb had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Player of the Week. Frodo went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00, while fanning 11 in 16.1 innings of work. He hurled a shutout as well. This season Chubb compiled an ERA of 2.79, going 8-5 in 18 starts. He fanned 137 while giving up 112 hits in 135.1 innings. He has 3 complete games and 2 shutouts. He's 6th in the Shire Conference in ERA and 5th in wins! Higor Elfdrinker from Dunharrow wins his 3rd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. In 22 at bats he hit .545 with 2 HR and 4 RBI. Higor has gone 65 for 265 (.245) this season, hitting 11 homeruns and driving in 33 runs. He has scored 44 runs on his own.
