Arwodur traded to Dead Marshes

BREE - Wasting no time after yet another disappointing playoff run, the Bree Cheese struck a deal with Dead Marshes to send their one-time ace, Ban Arwodur, to the Uruk-hai in exchange for reliever, Hofur Goldcutter. Arwodur, 34, is a 3-time All-Star and 20-game winner with a career record of 132-66 and an ERA of 3.40. He is 4th on the career wins list and 3rd on the list for complete games (47) and shutouts (14). But his age and $20 million salary, combined with his lackluster postseason performance (2-7, 4.87, in 11 starts), convinced Bree ownership it was time for him to go. The much younger Goldcutter, 26, has been a workhorse out of the Uruk-hai bullpen, appearing in 186 games in the last 2 seasons.
