Rockback sent to Bywater

OLD FOREST - Future Hall-of-Fame catcher, Rafur "Rocky" Rockback, was traded by the Merry Fellows to Bywater in a deal that sent the 4-time All-Star to the Bounders along with reliever Kenton Ayo. In exchange, Bywater gives up minor league reliever, Erimak Bughater, and infielder Thoma Thugast.

Rockback, 32, was the first pick of the Palantir Stones (now Rohan) back in 2003. He immediately established himself as one of the best hitting catchers in the game, leading the league with a .440 on-base average and hitting 54 doubles. He also won the Legolas Fielder award at catcher twice. In 2008, he was traded to Gondolin, then to Old Forest last season. He is currently 19th on the career HR list with 228, and 12th in RBI with 778. He is also 4th in doubles (276), 6th in triples (60), and 18th in walks (606).
