Bree's Fandil severely injured

BREE - Bree's pitcher Phaitai Fandil was part of a scary incident that saw the right-hander being hit by a line drive in the 3rd inning of the game between Bree and Mirkwood on May 1. Team trainers immediately rushed onto the field after the frightening scene. Fandil will miss about 6 weeks. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Fractured Cheekbone. His ERA of 5.86 helped him to a 1-1 record this year. He struck out 19 and walked 15 in 35.1 innings. Phaitai has pitched one shutout and one complete game.
