Rumors of an old feud resurface

MIRKWOOD - Pitching for Bree, former Marauder minor leaguer Phaitai Fandil. He was signed as a free agent by Mirkwood on 6/17/2003. A very brash young 18 year old Elf who was given a chance by the Marauders staff because he had Good Movement and Good Control, but he had virtually no Stuff. Fandil was doing well on Mirkwood's Single A team, the Greenwood Greats. Having been on the team only 3 weeks, he had 2 games started he had an impressive ERA of 2.25.

Then tragedy struck. Fandil was injured on 7/9/2003 with a Broken Finger, and out for 5 weeks... This was a bad time for quite a few Marauder pitchers as there were 13 injured in July of 2003 alone. As it turns out while Fandil was recovering another young and upcoming player by the name of Mohair *Catsquisher was also injured. he was injured on 8/9/2003 with a Pulled Elbow Ligament while throwing a ball. Because Catsquisher was an Orc, Fandil instantly turned on him, and they had no less than 12 fights in the ensuing months. The Mirkwood Management, when presented with the facts had no choice but to let Fandil go at the beginning of the next season.

There were always rumors that Fandil never forgave the Marauders, and I'm sure with the continuing successes of Catsquisher his anger festered even more. He spent 2 seasons as an unclaimed free agent until he was signed as a free agent by Bree on 3/1/2006. He finally worked his way up to the majors in 2010, where twice he faced Mirkwood and had an 0 - 1 record with only 9.0 innings pitched he had 19 hits against him and an ERA of 9.00.
Both games Catsquisher was instrumental in Fandil downfall, going 4 for 5 one game and getting the RBI that knocked him out of the other game.
The pressure this year must have been too much for him, after the Cheese lost 2 straight to Mirkwood, Fandil was pitching the third game. With Mirkwood once again up early on Fandil 2 - 1 they were coming to bat in the top of the 3rd...

Up to the plate comes 3B Mohair *Catsquisher: There has always been bad blood between these two.
Hit by pitch. He beaned him, no 2 ways about it, he just threw it right at him.

He DOUBLES to the gap in right-center.
T. Smeand scores.
M. *Catsquisher to third.
*Catsquisher tries to score...
He scores without a throw.
1B Galaigast Faromli:
Grounds out to the second baseman.
M. Gamwich to third.
DH Valin Graniteslinger:
Flies out to deep right field.
Gamwich tags up at third...
He scores without a throw.
RF Drogo Gamwich:
Reaches on INFIELD-HIT. A line drive off the face of Fandil!!!
Phaitai Fandil was injured. He has a Fractured Cheekbone. That must have been payback for the intentional bonk of Catsquisher!
New pitcher: Nank Giantprodder.
C Dwalin Rockanvil:
Strikes out swinging.
Inning over... 3 runs, 3 hits, no errors.
Score: Mirkwood 5, Bree 1

Lets only hope the feud can end here before someone loses an eye!
