DAGORLAD - In a startling turn of events, Wilderland’s ace Vin Rinlyg was traded to Dagorlad for Nuumsh Gnomeraper along with two minor leaguers-- Tella Foetearer and Johnny Welton. Rumors had swirled around Rinlyg since a leaked report had hinted at Dagorlad’s interest, but it was thought the Disaster were looking at moving veteran Rosil Shieldmover and another minor league outfielder.

"We’re sorry to have to let Nummsh go. He’s been a part of us here in Dagorlad since he broke into the league. He's done a nice job of being a team player and taking the ball when it’s been his turn in the rotation. The deal was too good to turn down, though,” said Urgathk the Non-Blasé, Disaster GM. “Matt Reade took it the hardest. Gnomeraper had been his mentor as he moved from reliever to starter.”

“Nuumsh was a good guy. He helped me when I was mired in the minors and going nowhere. He showed me how to show the four-seamer and a palm ball change that had gotten him his success.”

Rinlyg is expected to step into Gnomeraper’s spot and bring some stability to a starting staff that had begun to show its age. “We expect him to find success here. He’ll help us make a good chase after Minas Morgul. He keeps the ball down and in the park. We’re really excited to have him here,” said Urgathk. “He’s one tough guy. He’s going to love it here. Our fans appreciate a gamer and he’s definitely that.”
