Wargs Trade Firbal the Nasty

WILDERLAND - Star first baseman, Firbal the Nasty, was dealt to the Minas Morgul today in a 3-for-1 swap that brings slugger, Gandaugrin Gamaiborn, and pitchers, Prarg Halflingslobbr and Terra Treegirl to the Wargs. Firbal, 26, has been a rising star at Wilderland since he was their first pick in 2008. Last year he was named to the Shire All-Star team and hit .289 with 35 HR and 106 RBI and won the Legolas at first base.

Gamaiborn, 28, has wandered in search of a home since being drafted by Dunharrow as their 4th pick in 2003. He was traded to Bucklebury in 2004, then to Bree in 2006, and finally to Minas Morgul last season. He has always been a slugger, hitting 228 career HR (21st all-time), but he has never hit for average. He was named to the 2009 Shire All-Star team and won the Legolas at first base in 2008.

Halflingslobbr, 29, takes over as the Warg's closer, shoring up a sorely lacking Wilderland bullpen. And looking to the future, Treegirl, 24, will work out of AAA for the time being.
