Wilderland has no chance in a 2-hitter by William Oconnor
WILDERLAND - Bucklebury's southpaw William Oconnor is a great pitcher. And he once again showed his stuff, blanking Wilderland on just 2 hits on July 1. It's his 3rd shutout this season, and the 4th time he has done it in his career. 'Pitching a great game is always a good thing. And it doesn't get much better than today.' Oconnor (6-5) was overpowering, fanning 12 while walking 2, throwing 109 pitches. Bucklebury's leftfielder Samwise Peatfingers finished with 4 hits in 5 AB, hitting a homerun, scoring two runs and collecting 3 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Oconnor. The final score of the game was 12-0.
