Vogush Spearripper blanks Gondolin with a 1-hitter

GONDOLIN - Isengard's right-hander Vogush Spearripper will never forget this day. The 28-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 1-hitter, against Gondolin on July 8. Sifur Silvermaster spoiled the bid for a no-hitter when he singled with one out in the 5th inning. Spearripper (7-4) fanned 8 and walked 3, throwing 111 pitches. 'My catcher called a very good game. I have to give credit to him.' Isengard's catcher Boran Armormasher went 2 for 4, going deep twice, scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 runs. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Spearripper. The final score of the game was 4-0.
