Griffons get new owner

GONDOLIN - For the third time in its brief history, the Gondolin Griffons has changed ownership. A French ownership group, headed by Adunaphel, has taken over the Griffons franchise from previous owner, DiSanto, Inc. Adunaphel has remained quiet about his future plans for the team, but sources say that there may be several key transactions in the off season that will make them a contender for the Hobbit Division title.

This is the fourth owner for the league's most travelled franchise. Originally, the team was located in Bag End. The Bombers were run first by Ejen, then by Cadderly. Cadderly moved the team and renamed them the Silvan Rangers in 2004. In 2005, DiSanto purchased the team, moving them to Gondolin in 2006. Their best finish came that year, as they trailed Lake Town by just 1 game. They have never made it to the playoffs.
