Miner's Son sparks Rumors across the SGCBL

via Reporter Hatre Glitterfist

OLD FOREST - Rumors are swirling around the SGCBL this evening as The Old Forest Echo has discovered that Thagrham Pitmaker, son of Gem mining mogul Hroms Pitmaker, has made startling progress in his attempts to gain a presence in the SGCBL. At the time of going to press it seems that Pitmaker has made overtures to the owners of at least 3 SGCBL franchises in an attempt to wrestle complete or partial control of the teams. As things stand, it would seem that Pitmaker's ponies, saddled and laden with gems, only await the first owner to cave into his demands.

Thagrham, owner of the independant league Brill Emeralds, has made it his focus to acquire a major league francise in time for the 2012 season and it seems very little can stand in his way. Depending on the way negotiations break in the next 24-48 hours, it would seem likely that Thagrham, spurned in his advances to teams in the Dwarven division, will look to sew up at least a partial stake in a team outwith his native dwarven lands.

The teams most strongly linked to Pitmaker this evening; the Rivendell Royals, the Wilderland Wargs and most shocking of all, the Mordor based Dol Guldur Dragons have been unavailable for comment.

It is not known wether or not Pitmaker has sent an ultimatum to the teams owners but sources say that he is confident of a decision shortly.
