Boraulf and Facedragger named to Hall of Fame

League officials announced the results of this year's Hall of Fame voting, revealing that Boreathor Boraulf and Kogar "Cap" Facedragger were the two lucky players to have received the required 75 percent to be elected.

Boraulf dominated Shire Conference hitters from 2005 to 2008, winning 4 straight Gandalf Pitcher awards. He went 91-32 over those seasons with an ERA of 2.34 and 1,089 strikeouts. He remains the career leader in Complete Games (71) and Shutouts (28) and is among the all-time leaders in Wins (144), ERA (3.22) and Strikeouts (1791).

Facedragger burst onto the scene as a brilliant hitter, and retired as the greatest right fielder in the history of the league. In 2004, he won the Shire Conference Aragorn MVP and Sam Gamgee Batter awards by posting a record-setting performance, finishing with a .358 Average, 207 Hits, 57 HR, and 149 RBI. Inexplicably traded in 2006, first to Mirkwood, then Bywater, he finished his career with the Bounders, and while his bat never produced the same kind of numbers as 2004, he won fans with his glove and tremendous throwing arm, winning 5 straight Legolas Fielder awards in right field from 2004-2008.

Gobur Foetooth barely missed inclusion into the Hall, winning 2/3 of the votes cast. Tigor Noseprodder once again fell short with just over 50 percent, and Eralak Bugbearripper also received 56 percent.

Foetooth, Bugbearripper, Noseprodder, Bloodkiller, Elriawyn, Fistslammer, Elvawen, and Radithor received enough votes to remain on the ballot for next season. The rest did not.
