Minas Tirith's Anvilworker wins Player of the Week award
The Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Binus Anvilworker, Minas Tirith's starting first baseman. In 21 at bats he hit .476 with 4 HR and 9 RBI. Anvilworker has hit for a .254 average this season. He has 22 extra base hits along with 84 total bases, resulting in a .592 slugging percentage. He's 8th in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 2nd in homeruns! Dead Marshes' rightfielder Shamina Gil-Gawen had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named her the Mordor Conference Player of the Week. Shamina pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .542 with 5 HR and 11 RBI while slugging 1.292. She hit in every game this week and extended her hitting streak to 9 games. She now has homered in 4 consecutive games as well! Gil-Gawen has hit 9 taters this year while batting .331. She adds 10 doubles, along with 30 runs scored. She's 10th in the Mordor Conference in batting and 6th in RBI!
