Frodo Chubb blanks Bree with a 1-hitter
OLD FOREST - Great days are rare. But not for Old Forest's southpaw Frodo Chubb. Bree found out the hard way on September 15 that he is among the leagues top pitchers, getting just one hit. It's his 4th shutout this season, and the 11th time he has done it in his career. Bork Beavercleaver spoiled the bid for a no-hitter when he doubled with two outs in the 5th inning. Chubb (21-3) struck out an astounding 13 and walked none, throwing 66 of 103 pitches for strikes. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Gollauman Gandilhil helped Chubb at the plate, he finished 3 for 5, going deep twice, scoring three times and collecting 3 RBI. Old Forest scored 15 runs on 20 hits.
