Chubb (OF) and Amblestar (MM) win Gandalf Pitcher Award

The Shire Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award winner was announced today, with Old Forest's southpaw Frodo Chubb taking home the desired trophy. He certainly earned it, he struck fear into hitters all year long. This season Chubb compiled an ERA of 2.22, going 22-3 in 37 starts. He fanned 301 while giving up 242 hits in 287.1 innings. Frodo has pitched 4 shutouts and 7 complete games. He's 2nd in the Shire Conference in ERA and 2nd in wins! Chubb wins the award for the 2nd time in his 8-year career. Sorrel Amblestar was named the Mordor Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award winner today. Misty Mountain's right-hander put up fabulous numbers this year which earned him the highest award a pitcher can receive. This season Amblestar compiled an ERA of 2.52, going 22-10 in 40 starts. He fanned 216 while giving up 226 hits in 289.1 innings. Sorrel has pitched 3 shutouts and 8 complete games. He's 3rd in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 1st in wins!
