Beardcutter signs with Royals
RIVENDELL - Fabur "The Apostle" Beardcutter ended speculation today, signing a big contract with Rivendell that will pay him $120 million over the next 4 seasons. Beardcutter, 32, was seen as the grand prize this off-season, netting interest from most teams. However, at $30 million per year, the Royals' new GM, Elrohir, came in with an offer too good to refuse, making Fabur the highest paid player in the league.
Beardcutter is a 2-time All-Star and perennial leader in strikeouts and WHIP. However, he has never been able to turn that into a 20-win season. He was the 1st round pick of the Dunharrow Devils in 2003 and has seen service with Bucklebury, Minas Morgul, Old Forest and Isengard in his 9-year career. He has a record of 127-88 with an ERA of 3.08 and 2,274 strikeouts. He is 2nd on the career list for both ERA and K's.
