Grailas traded to Old Forest

MISTY MTN - Team officials for Misty Mountain announced a deal that will send ace pitcher, Gwomer "The Hoard" Grailas, to Old Forest. In exchange, the Merry Fellows give up the original Merry Fellow--their 1st pick of 2003, Rognash Kidneyslammer--and starter Eralqua "Megaton" Megilwen. The Hops are also tossing in $20 million to cover a year of Grailas' salary, while the Merry Fellows give up their next two 1st round draft picks.

Grailas, 33, has been a superstar ever since 2005, when he was named to the Shire All-Star team while playing for Lake Town. The Archers' 36th pick in 2003 has never had a losing season, winning 150 while only losing 73. He is a 4-time All-Star and is 3rd on the career ERA list with a 3.10 lifetime mark.

"The Rog" Kidneyslammer, 30, has never been a great hitter (.223 lifetime BA), but he is solid defensively at short and third and has great speed. He is among the lifetime leaders in walks (690) and stolen bases (286). Megilwen, 31, has seen work at Gondolin and Old Forest, compiling a 45-42 record with a 4.11 ERA. He missed half of last season with a torn bicep muscle.
