Dwarfcrawler and Irontearer elected to Hall of Fame

League officials announced the results of this year's Hall of Fame voting, revealing that Grukak Dwarfcrawler and Libur Irontearer received the required 75 percent to be added to the Hall.

Dwarfcrawler was the winner of the Mordor Conference Aragorn MVP award for three years in a row from 2005-2007 and was named to the All-Star Team from 2003-2007. He hit .293 for his career, which included 227 HR and 794 RBI. He also won the Legolas Fielder award at third base twice, in 2005 and 2009. First signing with the Grey Havens Stars in 2003 as their 2nd pick, Grukak was one of the cornerstones of their team.

Irontearer was a fantastic pitcher for the Rohan Roughriders from 2004-2012. He was named to the All-Star Team in 2004, then again every year from 2006-2010. He finished his career with 139 wins vs. 68 losses, including a 21-6 season in 2007. His career ERA is 3.05, and he struck out 1469 batters.

Isengard outfielder, Gandaudur Eowoldur, and longtime Minas Tirith second baseman, Grimli Goramir, both barely missed inclusion, falling short with just 62-percent of the vote each. Pitcher Dolok Bonemangler was the only other player with more than 50% of the vote, garnering 54-percent.

Burt Axetorturer, Lor Coalspear, Alrond *DiSantolin, Gruugor Earchewer, Somina Glomir, Hafur Goblincrusher and Grodnel Goraugrin received no votes.

Eowoldor, Goramir, Bonemangler, Dryadpoker, Elriawyn, Anvilcrusher and Sang received enough votes to remain on the ballot for next season. The rest did not.
