Lake Town Shortstop Drogo Knotwise Shines at the Plate with a .526 Average, Named SC Player of the Week
Lake Town fans have something to crow about today, as Lake Town shortstop Drogo Knotwise nabbed the SC Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," commented Knotwise after posting a .526 average, a .550 on base percentage, and a 1.263 slugging percentage.
Knotwise has been putting together a consistent approach all year. On the season, he is batting .262, slugging .488 with 5 home runs, and getting on base at a .319 rate. The 31-year-old is just hitting his stride, and has proven that he can play in the SGCBL.
