Petunia Gamgee of the Minas Morgul Slayers Grabs Mordor Conference Player of Week Award
Petunia Gamgee went on a hitting tear last week against Mordor Conference pitchers and collected the Player of the Week award as an acknowledgment of her dominance. The Minas Morgul Slayers second baseman swatted 12 hits in 23 at-bats with 7 runs batted in, 4 extra-base hits, and 4 runs scored. In 6 games, she hit .522 and had an on base percentage of .520.
She has been around the league a while now, but Gamgee still gets excited when she steps into the batter's box. And why shouldn't she? The 27-year-old second baseman is a professional ballplayer, hitting .307 so far this season with 10 home runs and 33 RBI. She also has scored 37 times, walked 16 times, stolen 0 bases, and compiled a .369 OBP.
