Minas Tirith Rookie Granitehammer Steps to the Front of His Class, Walks off with Shire Conference Monthly Award

Carl Granitehammer of the Minas Tirith Titans collared May's Rookie of the Month honors in the Shire Conference. Last month he unloaded 32 hits, smacked 4 of them for doubles and 6 for homers. He hit at a .327 clip, boasted an OBP of .407 and a slugging percentage of .551 and outdistanced his classmates in the run for the rookie award.

Thus far in this current campaign Granitehammer has put up a .323 average with a .422 OBP. His stats look like this: 54 hits in 167 at-bats, 5 doubles, no triples, 7 home runs, 21 RBI, 30 runs scored, 29 bases on balls, and no stolen bases.
