Mordor Conference Names Grumpus *the Grumpest Player of the Week

Grumpus *the Grumpest would not be denied the Mordor Conference Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 7 hits, 9 RBI and 5 extra-base hits, made him--at least in the minds of the Lothlorien fan base--the clear favorite to win the honor.

"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said *the Grumpest, "No offense to the fans, but I block them out when I'm at bat. I'm up there to get a hit, or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. There's time for all that after the game."

Thus far this year, the 28-year-old center fielder has a .249 batting average with a .339 on base percentage. *the Grumpest has cracked 55 hits including 8 home runs, scored 31 times, and banged in 32 runs as well.
