Catcher Xiquena Extends Deal with Minas Tirith

MINAS TIRITH - Opting to stay with what he knows, Amadis Xiquena signed an extension with the Titans on June 28 that will keep the 27-year-old in a Minas Tirith uniform for at least 6 years longer. Xiquena is poised to earn $11,666,666 per year, and is loved by diehards for his loyalty to the organization.

He has been around the league a while now, but Xiquena still gets excited when he steps into the batter's box. And why shouldn't he? The 27-year-old catcher is a professional ballplayer, hitting .218 so far this season with 8 home runs and 22 RBI. He also has scored 21 times, walked 18 times, stolen 0 bases, and compiled a .302 OBP.
