Great Week for Faromli: Mirkwood Star Bats .440 and Scoops up SC Award for Best Player
Mirkwood Marauders first baseman Galaigast Faromli had a great time at the plate last week, running up some numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Shire Conference named him Player of the Week.
Faromli banged out 11 hits on the way to a .440 batting average. He put 6 home runs into the stands, scored 9 times, and pushed across 15 runs. He took 3 walks, which helped bring his on base percentage to .500.
Faromli is a respected professional. He puts up consistent numbers, and he has the drive to compete with anybody in the game. This season, Faromli is batting .261 with 98 hits in 407 plate appearances. He has smoked 14 doubles and 25 home runs, scored 52 times, and driven in 76. He has walked 24 times, stolen 0 bases, and compiled a .310 OBP.
