SC Names Bears Second Baseman *Rider Player of the Week

Trik *Rider would not be denied the Shire Conference Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 11 hits, 9 RBI and 4 extra-base hits, made him--at least in the minds of the Carrock fan base--the clear favorite to win the honor.

"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said *Rider, "No offense to the fans, but I block them out when I'm at bat. I'm up there to get a hit, or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. There's time for all that after the game."

*Rider has hit at a .294 clip so far this season with 54 RBI, 14 home runs, and 59 runs scored.
