Lothlorien Second Baseman Muddyfoot Nabs MC Player of the Week Honors

No single hit brought Hamson Muddyfoot Player of the Week honors--the Lothlorien Lumberjacks second baseman corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at bat.

"Hitting is all about discipline," said Muddyfoot. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball, listen to advice from brodcasters or in the newspaper--that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you're drowning out all that noise and concentrating on the ball."

And concentrate he did! Muddyfoot stroked 10 hits in 28 at bats. He produced 6 extra-base hits and pushed 6 runners home on his way to a lofty 1.330 OPS figure.

A look at his season totals shows these current stats: 16 doubles, 4 triples, 15 home runs, and a .304 batting average. He has driven in 58 runs, scored 53 runs, and picked up 34 walks. Muddyfoot has also pilfered 0 bases.
