Hammermaker from Uruk-hai Given Mordor Conference Player of the Week Accolades
Dead Marshes Uruk-hai shortstop Kobur Hammermaker walked away with the Mordor Conference Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. Hammermaker batted .483, driving in 7 runs and thumping 4 extra-base hits along the way.
"The Uruk-hai fans are really behind me right now," observed the 33-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better."
Hammermaker is hitting at a .416 mark so far in 2013. He has collected 153 singles, 24 doubles, and 10 home runs, punching across 49 runs batted in to date. Hammermaker has struck out 89 times, grabbing 50 bases on balls for the year. He has a .475 OBP and an OPS of 1.022.
