Carrock's Mandragger Cruises to SC Player of Week Win

Srunk Mandragger would not be denied the Shire Conference Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 12 hits, 6 RBI and 5 extra-base hits, made him--at least in the minds of the Carrock fan base--the clear favorite to win the honor.

"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Mandragger, "No offense to the fans, but I block them out when I'm at bat. I'm up there to get a hit, or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. There's time for all that after the game."

Presently hitting at a .313 pace, Mandragger has collected 17 two-baggers and 1 triple, rapped 14 out of the ballpark, scored 64 runs, and produced 56 RBI. He has also been walked 63 times and run up 0 thefts on the basepaths this season. In 535 plate appearances over 135 games, he has banged out 146 hits.
