Lake Town's Rockbinder Parlays .455 BA into SC Player of the Week Award

Ralin Rockbinder captured all the headlines last week, and today he added to his booty with the Shire Conference Player of the Week trophy. The Lake Town Archers center fielder hammered league hurlers for 10 hits in 22 at bats, a .455 average. He slugged 6 home runs and had 7 extra-base hits all told. Rounding out his numbers were 11 RBI and 7 runs scored.

He has been around the league a while now, but Rockbinder still gets excited when he steps into the batter's box. And why shouldn't he? The 33-year-old center fielder is a professional ballplayer, hitting .275 so far this season with 15 home runs and 73 RBI. He also has scored 73 times, walked 70 times, stolen 48 bases, and compiled a .359 OBP.
