Amblestar's Sparkling Season Nets MC Gandalf Pitcher Award for Misty Mountain Star
What a season! And what a pitcher! Mordor Conference batsmen were beleaguered, besmirched, blitzed and blistered this year by the 2013 Gandalf Pitcher Award winner. The Misty Mountain ace, Sorrel Amblestar, was truly the league's King of the Hill. He started 37 games, pitched 260 innings, yielded only 233 hits, struck out 212, and gave out just 56 free passes. In all, he compiled an excellent 23-8 record with a sparkling 2.39 ERA and held the opposition to a very impressive .240 batting average.
