Uruk-hai Declare Out of Free Agent Bidding

DEAD MARSHES - In an unusual announcement made today, Dead-Marshes Uruk-Hai GM, Lord Loki, declared that he will not be seeking any free-agents to sign with the team this off-season.

"I think we had a good team this year, one or two guys struggled uncharacteristically, and we had some big injuries, so I don't think this is a team that needs much improvement to be able to contend for a championship."

When asked about long-time Uruk-Hair right fielder Fruron Elvand, Loki replied; "Well, I know Fruron wanted some time to think about his future, he's had a great career in this league already but if he decides to keep playing then we'd love to have him back, so that probably the only signing I would make."

This new "wait and see" approach seems to be a change of heart for Loki, who in the past has not hesitated to pull the trigger on signings and trades to bring big names to his team, such as Ban Arwodur, Ligor Fistslammer, Kobur Hammermaker, Wulo Wolfdragger and Mort Sauronson. The GM did address this, saying "I know I've made a bunch of moves in the past but with our payroll close to the cap as it is, I don't see us doing anything big this offseason." He then joked, "Of course, whether or not we make any trades really depends on who Bree's got on the block", referring to players, particularly Arwodur and Hammermaker who have had career seasons with the Uruk-Hai after being traded from the Bree Cheese.
