Hops Not Resting On Laurels

MISTY MTN - Fresh from their first league championship, the Hops are not content this off-season to rest on their laurels. Rumors swirl of big contracts being offered to several players to fill some perceived gaps in the lineup, with the intent of building on the momentum of the 2013 season.

In other Hops news, two-time back-to-back Gandalf Award winning pitcher Sorrel Amblestar has started a charity for orphaned goblin babies, called The Bridge of Life Foundation. Said Amblestar, "It's a shame how many of these babies have been orphaned by the constant wars both beneath and above the Misty Mountains. Since no one else in the area seemed to be doing anything, I felt it my place to step in and start the ball rolling."

Amblestar, who has been a bastion in the Hops rotation since the 2009 season, has pledged to raise 10,000,000 gold pieces by the end of the 2014 season. "I promise that come 2015, the Bridge of Life Foundation will be the pre-eminent charity in all of Middle Earth," she said as she posed with a dozen hand-picked goblin children in various degrees of drool.
