Starsley Retires
GREY HAVENS - Ending weeks of speculation, Grey Havens infielder, Begrin Starsley, has officially retired. Rumors about the veteran player started circulating late last season when team owner, Lady Arwen, was heard to be concerned with Starsley's performance. Despite having a season that was pretty much average for him, hitting .262 with 25 HR and 67 RBI, the 33-year-old decided that it was time to go.
Starsley finishes his 10-year career with a .261 average, 227 HR, 741 RBI, and 500 SB. He was named to 2 All-Star teams and won the Shadowfax Stolen Base Award in 2006 and the Bilbo Playoff MVP in 2007.
