Dunharrow trades Tookes to Bounders

DUNHARROW - Robert Tookes, journeyman pitcher, was sent to Bywater today in exchange for minor league reliever, Virgil Root, and a 3rd round draft pick. Tookes, 31, who was purchased from Moria just this past offseason for $2.5 million, has seen his share of good and bad seasons. Last year, however, was one of the pretty good ones, as he went 3-1 with 2 saves in 23 games with a 3.96 ERA. Meanwhile, the Bounders give up a AAA All-Star in Root. The 31-year-old right-hander was 9-4 with 2 saves and a 2.93 ERA in 56 games for the Crickhollow Cads.
